Project Wizard

When creating a new FEA project, the project wizard will walk you through the steps to set up the project.

Create a new FEA Project

Setup Run Decks

Select FEM format and location of FEA files.

Multiple FEM (.bdf) files can be imported using Run Decks. To create multiple run decks, select Show Additional Run Decks. Additional options are exposed to permit selection of many FEM files.

Set Units

Set FEM units and working units. See Units.

Edit Load Sets

Edit load sets.

Mechanical and thermal load set definitions are defined by reading the Subcase (Nastran) or Step (Abaqus and ANSYS) definitions from the finite element model. See Load Sets.

At this step the following information may be modified.

Load set factors (limit, ultimate)
Reference temperatures
Descriptions

Create/Edit Load Cases

Edit existing load cases or create new load cases.

The Load Cases tab defines project load cases that are used during HyperSizer analysis. See Load Cases.

Add Load Cases

Excel Utility

Select Tools|Export to Excel to create an Excel spreadsheet containing the load cases. To modify existing or add new load cases, modify the spreadsheet and import changes.
