About Load Sets

The load set is the HyperSizer equivalent to the Nastran subcase, Abaqus step, and ANSYS load step. Load sets can be combined to form load cases (similar to Nastran subcoms). See Load Sets tab.

There are two types of load sets:

Mechanical Mechanical load sets are those that refer to mechanical loadings such as point forces, pressures, and inertia.
Thermal Thermal load sets contain forces that result from temperature differences such as thermal stresses.

All non-FEA projects have 10 mechanical and 10 thermal load sets. Load sets may not be deleted or created.
