Join the Collier Research Team
Wanted: Top talent to join our team!
We are a commercial software company with roots in aerospace engineering going back to NASA in 1995. As a small, quick-moving company, we are seeking candidates with unique talents and who are exceptionally passionate about what they do.
Our corporate mission is to help customers bridge certification analysis with design optimization. To achieve this, we provide an automation process for analysis reporting and traceability, finding lighter designs that are also more cost effective to produce, all in shorter schedules. HyperSizer provides the expertise and functionality to produce the lightest-weight, fully-optimized, and realistic structural carbon fiber composite or metal designs.
Here at Collier Research we value our particular opportunity to work with engineers across many industries. We are involved in applications of wind energy, automotive, shipbuilding, sporting goods, and of course aerospace and space launch (see our Customer List). As a member of our team, we hope that you will be excited to be exposed and contribute to many leading edge and fascinating projects! “Do something cool!” is one of our mottos.
Here’s a few reasons why our employees like working here:
Salary and Benefits
We provide our employees with highly competitive salary and benefits package, which typically includes relocation assistance
Projects
We’re involved in some very cool projects with cutting-edge technologies. Whether it’s aerospace, space launch, wind energy, automotive, or high-end sports, we think you’ll find our projects exciting
Work Environment
We think it’s a benefit that you can dress casually at our office. Or if you’d prefer, you can be fancy. You do you. Plus we have snacks!
Company Size
With our small company, our employees have the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the business. Our employees wear many hats!
Travel
Our employees have the opportunity to visit customers all over the world and to attend conferences and trade shows
Team Atmosphere
We believe in collaboration. Our meetings are typically a mix of brainstorming, analysis, and humor. Sometimes we like to meet over lunch! Current company favorite restaurants are local Mexican and sandwich shops Salsa’s and TASTE
Active Coworkers
Many of our employees are passionate runners, hikers, cyclists (there are actually some beach cruisers at our office for employee use!), kite boarders, snowboarders, jet ski addicts, etc. And there is the other side of the company of Movie Buffs, Sci Tech, and Game of Thrones
Location
Located on the Virginia Peninsula (near NASA Langley), Newport News is a growing city south of Richmond and north of Norfolk. With a short drive you could be touring Colonial Williamsburg, relaxing at the beach, or hiking the Appalachian Trail
