HyperSizer contains a wide array of user settings for projects, assemblies, components, etc. In order to avoid having to set these options for every project, it is possible to define the defaults for these settings - so called database defaults.
Tip: After setting the database defaults, save the database as a template database. Using the template databases will bring in the defaults the next time you create a new database. See About Template Databases.
How to set default analysis selections (components)
In main window, select Preference | Analysis Defaults.
The Analysis Default form appears.

These settings will not take effect until new components are created - typically during FEM import.
How to set default design criteria (assemblies)
These are assembly settings. They will take effect when the next assembly is created.
