About Linking Groups

A linking group is a collection of components that shared the same sizing variable bounds - min/max dimensions, candidate materials etc.

• If linking is enforced for a variable, all components will return the same variable result. If not, each component is free to return a unique result (using the same bounds).
• By default, each component is not associated with a group - in other words, each component has a unique set of variable bounds by default.
• Components can only belong to a single group.
• Groups are visible in the Dimensions tab of the Sizing form only if a group exists.
