Composite Data Options

The composite data options display the ply drop/add results from the effective laminate blending and discrete laminate sequencing operations.

Selected Variable for Ply Data

Selects the active variable used to display composite ply data.

Show Ply Counts

Displays the number of plies in each orientation (0/45/90) for each component in the active assembly.

Important: Before running the effective laminate blending, the ply count results are displayed as ply angle percents. After running effective laminate blending, the ply count data is displayed graphically, in the format shown below.

Show Ply drops/adds

Displays the number of plies dropped and added at each ply drop transition boundary.

Plot Data From Sizing Form

Displays the graphical ply data based on the last analysis performed on the active assembly.

Plot Data From Composite Form

Displays the graphical ply data based on the active compatible design on the effective laminate blending and discrete laminate sequencing forms.

These two options allow the user to quickly switch the graphical representation of composite ply data between the ply data determined by analyzing the assembly and the ply data corresponding to the active design on the producibility forms. This gives the user an easy comparison between the original design and the modified manufacturable design.
