Project Import Options

There are several options to consider when importing projects.

• Design Templates Selecting this check box imports templates. See About Templates.
• Analysis Selections Three options are available relating to how and if the analysis selections are imported.
  1. Original Analysis selections... New Analyses turned off Analysis selections in the imported projects will stay the same. Any new analyses that did not exist in the old database will be disabled in the new database.
  2. Original Analysis selections... New Analyses set to default in current database Analysis selections in the imported projects will stay the same. Any new analyses that did not exist in the old database will be disabled and set to their default values in the new database.
  3. All Analyses set to default... in current database Analysis selections in the imported projects will be overridden by the defaults in the current database.
• Also import solution data... Imports margins of safety, optimum candidate designs, etc. Typically, you will want to import the solution data to avoid having to reanalyze the project immediately.

Advanced options allow you to import database-level entities.

• All Materials and Stocklists When projects are imported, the materials assigned to that project are imported as well. This option will import every material from the database regardless of whether or not they are assigned to an imported project.
• FEM Graphics Custom Palettes Imports custom color palettes from the database. See Select Color Palette/Viewing Options.
• FEM Graphics Custom Colors... Imports custom colors and options from the database. See Select Color Palette/Viewing Options.
• Analysis Selections, Required Margins of Safety Imports defaults for failure modes that are activated or deactivated on the Failure tab. Also imports any required margin of safety defaults that are defined on the Failure tab.
• Custom Correlation Factors... Imports the user-defined correlation factors for test data correlation.
• Database Defaults for Components and Groups Imports the miscellaneous component and group defaults. These defaults are set by right-clicking data fields in the Sizing form. Examples of component and group defaults include the default values of panel concept selections, sizing variables, and buckling boundary conditions.
