The tapered tube concept is unique to the other beam concepts in that it is non-prismatic (varies along the length).
Also unique to this concept is the explicit definition of a joint, shown in darker gray in the figure below. The length, diameter, and bending stiffness of the joint is specified on the Options tab of the Sizing form. The joint parameters are defined on the group level.
