Creating Templates

A template is created by copying settings from an assembly-component pair. You may select a subset of the assembly-component settings to store within the template.

How to create a template

  1. In the Sizing form, navigate to the assembly and component whose settings you wish to copy to the template.

  2. In the Assembly group of the Home tab, select Templates | Create.

    The template creation dialog appears.

  3. Name the template.

  4. Using the check boxes, select which data to store. You can store both assembly and component settings.

Tip: Only store data relevant to the application. This documents the intent of the template and prevents you from accidentally overwriting other data when applying the template.

  5. Click OK.
