Creating 2D Map Reports

The 2D map report displays data in terms of 2D structure map. Typically the 2D map coordinates represent bays and stringers (or frames and stringers).

Structure maps need to be defined in order for this report to be generated.

How to create 2D map reports

Open the Sizing form or Project Setup form.
In the Home tab, select Stress Reports | 2D Map Reports.

If you don't see this option, either sizing results are not available, no structure maps are defined, or the report is not supported for the current analysis mode.

The 2D Map Generation dialog appears.
Select which data to export along with the associated color palette.
Click Generate.

A file browser appears.
Browse to the location where you want to save the report. Click Open.
After the report finishes generating, Excel will open.

The image below shows how the 2D map of skin margins of safety maps to the actual fuselage structure using string and bay coordinates.
