The Pick Form is used to assign elements or components to a model entity such as a Component, Assembly, Display Set, Group or Transition.
To open this form select a Create using Graphics or Modify using Graphics options from the desired model entity drop-down menu. Depending on the model entity being created/modified, the pick form will be in a particular pick mode. For example, when a component is being created, the pick form is in element mode and it will only allow you to select elements from the model.
Click Individually Click on the entity (element or component) that you wish to pick. Clicking on the an entity multiple times will toggle the pick state depending on the "Toggle"-"Add"-"Remove" settings. See Toolbar.
Tip: Using "Show Labels" will give you a target to click when picking entities. See Show Labels.
Using a Bounding Box Hold the [Shift+Alt] keys and left-click to draw a box around the elements/components.
Type IDs and ID Ranges Enter ID numbers directly in the component/element list box. You can specify a sequential list of numbers by using the colon (:). In the example below, components 1 through 3, 11 through 13, and 21 through 23 are selected. Press [Enter] to apply the changes.
Important: The Review button must be active to enter the IDs.
Using Display Sets Available in assembly, display set, and linking group pick modes. Click Add Set on the toolbar. Select one or many display sets. Click OK.
Icons Displays the selected entities with icons on the elements. This approach works well for close-up views, but is slow for large models.
