Navigation


The Navigation toolbar allows the user to browse and select active components, assemblies, FEM joints and display sets.

Active Entity

Select active items in the FEM viewer using the intermediate form displayed below.

Important: If a component or a is made active in the FEM Viewer, it will also be active in the Sizing form.

Alternatively, the navigation buttons may be used to scroll through the components, assemblies and display sets.

Previous Component

Returns to the previous component within the active assembly.

Next Component

Advances to the next component within the active assembly.

Important: By using the component navigation icons, the active components are selected within the active assembly. If the desired component is in a different assembly, then that assembly must be made active first before navigating to the desired component.

Previous Assembly

Returns to the previous assembly.

Next Assembly

Advances to the next assembly.

Previous Joint

Returns to previous joint in the active assembly.

Next Joint

Advances to the next joint in the active assembly.

Previous Display Set

Returns to previous display set.

Next Display Set

Advances to the next display set.

Navigation using the Legend

Another way to make an entity active in the FEM Viewer and sizing form is to select the entity in the legend. First select the Color by Model Item option.

For example, to make a component active using the legend select the Color by Component option.

Next, scroll your cursor over the item names in the legend. As you pass over them, you will see the corresponding item highlighted in the FEM window. Click the desired entity to make it active. Notice the [brackets] around the entity in the legend which indicate that item is active in the FEM Viewer and the sizing form.
