With the large increases in affordable computing power and the wide availability of commerical packages, finite element analysis (FEA) has become a standard tool for structural analysis. Design engineers are now able to execute sophisticated structural analyses from their desktop PC. Unfortunately, creating a high quality finite element model (FEM) is often a difficult, time-consuming task that is highly prone to user-error.
HyperFEMGen is a tool that automatically creates discretely meshed panels based on data from a HyperSizer component. Loads and boundary conditions are applied and run decks are created for linear static, eigenvalue, and non-linear analyses. Only the controlling loads are applied to the model.

The loads applied to the FEM are the controlling loads for the associated component.
HyperFEMGen can output both Nastran and Abaqus input files. The non-linear analysis run deck is available in Abaqus only.
