The flatwise tension analysis is implemented for the case of pure bending moments applied to a curved sandwich panel. This effect can become significant for cases where the ratio of panel radius of curvature to panel thickness becomes small. The flatwise tension stress is a function of the radius of each facesheet and is calculated separately for each face.
