Color Palettes - Output Laminate Ply
« on: June 18, 2013, 05:06:21 AM »
Hello,
I imported a model from Nastran to create some graphics about the ply percentages. Importing works, but when I use the graphics mode to plot Output Laminate Ply / Plot 45's the legend looks like on the attached picture.
Changing the Color Palette does not affect the group Output Laminate Ply, with the others (like Output Computed Properties) it works. So I'm not able to change colors and the range, to make it a bit more readable. It this on purpose?
I'm using 6.4.10.

And a second question: It seems to me that there is no way to rotate a model about an exact value like 90 degrees. Am I right?

Regards

You cannot change the color palettes for the ply percentage plots. Percent 45s is always blue, percent 0s is always green, etc. However, you can change the number of significant figures in the legend, this should decrease the number of color bins in the legend and make the plots more meaningful.

As for rotating the model, you're correct, there are no options for rotating incrementally. The view presets are standard front, back, isometric views. There is also an option for storing and retrieving views.

I hope this is helpful.
