Default Failure Analysis
« on: April 26, 2010, 12:56:18 PM »
Question via Email:

HyperSizer displays many failure analysis for each component, the engineers have to select the appropriate method each time they want to perform an analysis.  When Hypersizer boots up is it possible to limit the number of options in the failure TAB. The ideal would be to set up these options in the Hypersizer template. The current failure option choices tend to overwhelm the standard stress engineer. This will help standardize our process

I understand that having all the failure analysis active is quite overwhelming.  However there is an easy fix.

Try changing the database defaults before creating any new projects.  This way, for every new group that is created, each component will only have those analysis active by default.

You may then select the ‘Hide Unselected’ toggle at the bottom of the failure tab.  This will prevent HyperSizer from showing the unselected methods and keep the stress guys from being so overwhelmed.

As you mentioned you may want to enforce the default failure methods for everyone using the software, so change the default failure analysis in the template database.
