Does anyone know how to visualize the ribbon direction of core when using solid elements to model the core??

I am modeling a sandwich with Hex's as the core and quads as the facesheets. I am only able to plot the material direction of the quads in HyperSizer graphics window.....

Because HyperSizer does not display the solid elements themselves, there is no way to visualize the directionality of the solid elements in the HyperSizer graphics.

HyperSizer assumes that the X direction of the elements (however they are defined) to be the ribbon direction of the core.

Phil,

Thanks for the response. I just wanted to clarify; HysperSizer reads the x direction of the solids as the material direction coord x, not the individual element coord x right???
