It does not appear that I can change the material for different segments of a Hat. I would like to use a material that is biased for 45's on the web and use a material that is biased for 0's in the bottom cap. Is there a way to do this?

Hyperlaminates may be used to generate stiffener layups that are biased as you describe.

Hyperlaminates are only available for "discrete" material type. Unfortunately, when effective laminates are used, the material is the same in all segments of the hat.
