hope hypersizer can import directly some kind of solid elements from FEM, for example, full depth core. because some secondly structures, like rudder, elevater, are composed of upper skin, lower skin and full depth core.

Hypersizer V5.7 will import a Nastran FEM bond panel with QUAD elements representing the  face sheets and a Solid elements for the core. A full list of Nastran elements and case control commands supported by Hypersizer is shown below:

CASE Control
  SUBCASE, SUBCOM, SUBTITLE, LOAD, TEMP, TEMP(LOAD), TEMP(BOTH), TEMP(INITIAL), INCLUDE

 Coordinates:
  CORD1C,CORD1R,CORD1S,CORD2C,CORD2R,CORD2S - Nested coordinate definitions ok

 Elements & Grids
 GRID, ROD, CBAR, CBEAM, CQUAD4, CTRIA3, CSHEAR, CHEXA, CPENTA

 Material Properties (MATx – Hypersizer reads first column only)
 PCOMP, PSHELL, PSOLID, PROD (future), PBAR, PBARL, MAT1, MAT8, MAT9, WTMASS

 Loads
 LOAD, PLOAD2, PLOAD4, TEMP, TEMPP1, TEMPRB, TEMPD
