Title: BJSFM - Can I calculate an effective bearing allowable

When I enter a bypass load and a fastener load, can Hypersizer determine an effective bearing allowable load for the combination of bypass and fastener load.

Hypersizer V5.6.38

The Hypersizer BJSFM stress report (Ref project sizing form) will calculate the effective bearing allowable for the user combination of bypass load and fastener load.

For preliminary design purposes the user can enter multiple combinations  of bypass load and fastener load that combine to create a BJSFM zero Margin of Safety. The user could then create a plot of allowable bearing stress (per fastener configuration and laminate configuration) for combinations of fastener load and bypass load. This is useful for preliminary design purposes.
