Title: Error: not enough resources
Post by: A.Seidel on March 05, 2015, 11:27:03 AM
Hi,

We get the attached error when importing an FEA-model.
This error seems to be dependent on the number of GRIDs/Elements.

I checked it with Nastran and Abaqus. The model runs fine and can easily be imported with ~300,000 elements.

Anyhow our customer requests a very fine mesh with ~1,000,000 elements and we receive this error (For Nastran as well as for Abaqus)

The Hardware is the following:
DELL M6800
16 GB RAM
8 x 2.8 GHz
Win7 64 bit

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Andreas

In V7.1 (beta) we've made changed some major infrastructure to enable to import of the larger FEMs. However, for 1,000,000 elements the FEM viewer will still have issues.

In V7.1 we've also added a FEM filter. The FEM filter allows you to import a subset of the elements via element IDs or property IDs. See the links to the V7.1 documentation preview below.
