Title: HyperSizer Object Model (COM) with Linux
Post by: bjohnson63 on March 05, 2016, 10:01:58 AM
Hello,

I know the HyperSizer GUI is only available on Windows (or through emulation/virtualization) but if I'm only interested in the using HyperSizer via COM in a batch mode can it be run on Linux?

I'm asking because I'd like to take advantage of running HyperFEA on a computer cluster which only has Linux (Redhat 5 or 6). I'm also aware there may be a node-locked licensing issue, but I first want to see if it's actually possible before I address that.

Thanks,

Brandon

Hi Brandon,

I believe the only way you can run HyperSizer on Linux is with some sort of virtual machine or emulation. COM is a Windows-only technology. Also our backend database relies on Windows only drivers.
