Title: Panel Buckling (+) Load
Post by: Todd Anderson on August 08, 2017, 09:39:49 AM
Hi,
Forgive the likely simple question but am just learning and I have just not been able to locate the answer in documentation.   For Panel Buckling failure analysis, the ultimate MS is reported as "(+) load".  What does that mean?  For the limited number of studies I have done so far I always get a numeric MS or at least "very high".   Any pointers are appreciated!  Thanks, Todd

Hi Todd,

There is a help topic that explains the margin of safety codes.
See: https://hypersizer.com/help_7.3/#ReportMS/report-ms-ms_codes.php?

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you James... ah!  I dropped the minus sign so had the loads reversed!  Thanks for the pointer to that page... somehow I overlooked it.  Best, Todd
