Title: PCOMP Non Structural Mass

Recently I have run some projects with composite panels. The output .PM1 has, it seems randomly, added a Non Structural Mass term to the PCOMP of some panels and not others. Why is this? This causes problems when the model is run back through NASTRAN with the subsequent mass output from NASTRAN being incorrect. Can you explain why a NSM term is added to a PCOMP? And why not? Thanks.

The non-structural mass that gets added to a PCOMP card will come from the "Added Weight" on the Options tab of the sizing form for a component.  It can also come from a bond weight if you are including that.

If you have added weight, it might have been imported from your initial model if you had non-structural masses on any of your original properties.
