Title: Error analyzing component - Plastic Buckling Correction: ga and gb same sign
Post by: tomhandford on October 25, 2019, 04:10:06 AM
When analyzing frame stiffened panels I get the following error message for some components:

Error analyzing component XXXXX load case XXXXX. [PlasticCorrection.f90] Plastic Buckling Correction: ga and gb same sign.

When the error occurs analysis of the entire assembly is stopped. Is there a way to identify and isolate the failure mode this error is occuring for? Is there a way to complete analysis for the other components in the assembly rather than stopping the analysis process?

You can turn off the plastic buckling correction factors in the backdoor data options.
See: http://hypersizer.com/help_7.3/#BackdoorData/bd-11-buckling_coefficients.php
Last two options.

Hi James,

Can you provide some more information on the calculation of these factors ga and gb, I can't find any reference to them in the methods documents.

Thanks

Tom
