Title: Parallel Processing
Post by: mnoftz on April 19, 2019, 09:11:58 AM
Hello!

I am a relatively new user to Hypersizer and have recently set-up a project utilizing the built-in parallel sizing capability.

The capability is simply fantastic. Sizing the skins in my project took nearly 30 hours in the past. Now, the whole analysis is completed in less than an hour. A colleague of mine has had similar success with this method on our local server using remote desktop. (48 core server)

Is there a way to link HyperFEA with the parallel sizing process? We have been using a work-around by doing single-iteration runs starting with FEA to update the Nastran .bdf file and then re-running the project in parallel (manual iteration).

Best,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Currently the parallel sizing capability cannot be linked to HyperFEA. We do see the need for this feature and exposing the parallel sizing capability to the HyperSizer scripting API would be a near term solution for us to implement.

Thanks for the feedback!
