how to  realize wing tip optimization ? I mean to optimize the global stiffness of wing by limiting wing tip deflection and twist, and to make the wing spanwise distortion smooth.

by using Object Model? if how?

I know wing tip displacement limits can be given when running hyperFEA, but I am not sure whether the spanwise distortion is smooth.

In summary, wing tip optimization can be achieved by using an optimization algorithm that searches for the best wing design while taking into account factors such as global stiffness, wing tip deflection, twist, and spanwise distortion. An object model can be used to represent the wing in 3D space and calculate its deformation under different loading conditions. HyperFEA can be used for finite element analysis and setting limits on wing tip displacement, but it may not directly optimize for smooth spanwise distortion. Multi-objective optimization algorithms can be used to simultaneously optimize for multiple objectives and achieve the best possible wing design for your application.

Hello,

I am attempting to open a .hdb generated using an older version of hypersizer (7.3). However when  I try to upgrade when prompted, I get the error shown below. There doesn't appear to be an option to not upgrade, so I'm stuck. Any ideas?

Hello,

There is no hard limit to the number of HyperSizer applications that can be run on a PC - it would just be based on available computer resources. The primary limitation to be aware of is that it is inadvisable to work in the same database file through multiple instances of the software. This could potentially cause corruption or errors.

Working in multiple database files through multiple instances of the application should be perfectly safe and not see notable performance degradation unless you are reaching the limit of your disk, CPU, or memory performance.

How many session can be opened at once on a PC. Since some operations allow time for other activities can more than one be opened at the same time to work on two analysis projects intermittently? Des it create corrupted files? or triple the process time?

Panel Buckling / curved panel buckling

I am using Hypersizer V 8.0.58 for stiffened composite panel. For failure mode AID 011 what are the required inputs on all forms? I get N/A for Limit MS and it is not obvious to me why. I get an ultimate MS value. I don't want failure at limit load. Is it because I am using composites that I need to use ultimate check even for limit loads? Yes, I have compression.

If we use symmetric laminate for each facesheet, we don't need to consider this case. In practical use, however, we sometimes meet this condition for very low loading sandwich structures. In general we seldom use sandwich structure with a thick facesheet.
I hope this mirror facesheet sizing is possible in Hypersizer sometime.
