Title: Buckling knockdown factor (stiffened panel)
Post by: ohba on February 12, 2009, 03:37:18 PM
Here is a simple question :

Does the buckling knockdown factor apply to both global buckling of the panel and also to local buckling of the different part of the stiffenend panel (web, flange, spacing span, ...) ?

If you look on the buckling tab, you should see two buckling knockdown factors.  One is for local buckling, one is for panel buckling.  The local buckling knockdown factor is applied to local buckling of the web, flange, etc.  The panel buckling knockdown factor is only applied to buckling of the panel as a whole.
