Dear Collier engineers,
Now i have some confusion about Buckling Span of Component.
if there is a panel(see attachement document:Buckling.jpg), different components have different color, the black bold line are Beams. Hypersizer analysis the panel by analysis all components, the components is the most small analysis unit. For Example: the mark "P9" component on the picture, hypersizer takes the length and width of this component as X and Y buckling Span. i think it is not very reasonable. it is uncorrelated with the beam span. Beam's position doesnot affect panel failure and optimization.
how to understand it?
thanks

The buckling spans are automatically computed using the component edges.

For this problem, I would suggest to manually redefine the buckling spans for each component as the distances between the beams that provide the buckling supports. This will be conservative.
