Title: What is meant by PASSED in Minimum Margin box?

When running a corrugated stiffened panel analysis, the returned design is given a minimum margin of 'PASSED' with no numerical margins listed for any chosen failure criteria.  What does this mean and how can it be avoided so that actual margins are given?

The "passed" MOS if probably  being returned for a Geometric check. This probably means there are no FEA or user-defined loads for this component.

If this is an FEA project you may want to check and make sure the element loads were properly imported into the FEM.

Do you see any loads displayed in the design-to loads tab?

Yes there are loads in the Design To tab and it is an FEA project.  It mainly happens when I request multiple (lets say 5) designs.  The optimum design will say 'PASSSED' and give no further margins in the Failure tab.  However for designs 2-5, a minimum margin will be given.  Since the margins of designs 2-5 cannot be displayed in the Failure tab, it then becomes impossible to determine what sizing is critical without readjusting the component parameters to match one of the 2-5 designs.

An update on this problem: I discovered that if you assign DLs to the hat stringers before you go through the Composites Form for the skin you can avoid this problem and margins will be given for all requested designs.  Having ELs assigned to both skin and stringers seems to be the trigger for having some designs return a "PASSED" margin, which will prevent the Composite Form from generating DLs for those components.
