Title: "Controlling Analysis Loads" in FBD tab
Post by: hunterqiu on June 16, 2009, 02:59:26 AM
An uniaxial stiffened panel is only loaded by Nx with B.C. "Simple", but the design-to load Mx is gotten in "Controlling Analysis Loads".
From my understanding, loaded by uniaxial load with simple B.C., there is no Mx reaction.  Is it correct, my parameters' setting?

This is correct.  HyperSizer is computing the virtual loads in 3 places at the two adjacent edges and the center of the panel.  You are correct assuming there will be no Mx at the edge in a simply supported uniaxial panel but there will be a virtual Mx in the center since the simple BC on the edges is constraining longitudinal displacement.
