Title: AID113 - Isotropic Strength, Von Mises
Post by: mrpothier on May 31, 2017, 08:10:04 AM
Hi,

In AID 113 there is a shear stress calculation for stiffeners.  How is this stress calculated?  I can't reproduce it with the loads I have for this stiffener.

Note that we also use AID 254 for a stiffener Von Mises check, which yields a zero shear stress. I have some sample calculations for this analysis which go through the shear stress calculations, but I still cannot match what I am seeing from AID 113.

Thank you

Have you tried to export an analysis detail spreadsheet? These are very helpful for verifying the analysis results.
