Title: Analysis of Panels with Flanged Stiffeners
Post by: MGerhardt on April 08, 2013, 09:16:18 AM
Hello
I'm trying to understand the calculation of the ABD-matrices in Hypersizer. With the document "Methods and Equations - Thermoelastic Stiffness Formulation" I've great success, but nevertheless I've problems to understand the way Hypersizer calculates the ABD-matrix with flanged stiffeners. For Blades the explanation is comprehensible (chapter 8), but for flanged panels (chapter 9) only the assumptions are documented. How does Hypersizer calculates the ABD-matrix with flanges?
Best Regards

This is by design. We've chosen to keep the details of the bonded flanged ABD proprietary. Though technically you could derive the ABD manipulations given the assumptions.
