Hi,
They stand for "tension" and "compression", respectively. Under some load processing methods, the element forces in a panel are aggregated under separate "passes" based on their sign. For example, when averaging forces for a statistical approach, the elements in compression are averaged and used as design-to loads in a separate pass from those in tension. This is to avoid averaging out tension and compression values which could result in unconservative results.
