Local Postbuckling applicability
« on: August 16, 2019, 10:11:15 AM »
I am considering using the local postbuckling option, and was wondering if it was generally applicable to all of the concepts.  I read through the documentation about it being used with Z stiffeners.  Would it be accurate for integral blades as well?  Thanks, Carl

Hello,

Local postbuckling is applicable for our uniaxial-stiffened panel concepts. We have previously validated it against Z-stiffener panels (as you saw in our documentation), but recently completed  similar verification exercises for Hat-, I-, and T-stiffened panels.

Although I am not aware of any existing validation data for blade stiffeners, the methodology is applicable.

Thanks,
Stephen
