Linking ConceptVariables
« on: April 04, 2014, 03:02:57 AM »
Hi,

in the class documentation of "ConceptVariable" i found the prperty "LinkVariable".
I tried to use this by setting True or False to this property, but it has no effect on the sizing results.
The aim is to link variables, for example the stiffner spacing, in an assembly.
I also tried create a linking group in the GUI, but it is "not yet implemented". Is there a possibility to link variables for all groups/components in an assembly?

I use HyperSizer 7.0.35.

Kind regards
Sascha

You have to create the linking group in the graphics window (FEM Viewer). This will expose the variable linking option in the sizing form.

See: http://hypersizer.com/help_7.0/#Form-Graphics/Topics/create_groups-graphics.php%3FTocPath%3DGraphics%2520Window%7CTopics%7CCreate%2520Model%2520Entities%7C_____6

Hello,

I have the same issue. I want to link the bottom surface of a sandwich with the top surface. I use the python interface and it does not work if I set the LinkVariable = True
