Laminate Allowables

Is there any way to access and edit the information in the Laminate Allowables tab of the Orthotropic form using the API?

Ryan:
No. Unfortunately this data is not exposed in the scripting API. In future versions we may expose the laminate allowables in a spreadsheet format.

I'm planning to workaround this by editing effective laminates to have the same lamina allowables as the parent material's most constraining laminate allowables and changing my analysis methods from laminate based to ply based. Will this approach result in the same margins?
