Updating from HyperSizer 6.1.69 to newer 6.1 versions

If you update HyperSizer from Version 6.1.69 to one of the newer HyperSizer versions 6.1.80 or 6.1.85, you will not be required to create a new database and import your projects.  Your older 6.1 databases should work just fine.

However, there have been changes to the database after 6.1.69.  If you choose not to create a new database and import your projects, then you will not have access to these new features in HyperSizer.  The features available in 6.1.69 should still work, however some new features will not be available. 

The following features have been added to the 6.1.80 and 6.1.85 databases:

154      Composite Strength, Puck 2D, Fiber Fracture (FF)   
155      Composite Strength, Puck 2D, Inter-Fiber Fracture (IFF)   
156      Composite Strength, Puck 3D, Fiber Fracture (FF)   
157      Composite Strength, Puck 3D, Inter-Fiber Fracture (IFF)

Added Backdoor Flags

FEA Statistical Use Original Standard Deviation Formulation   (Default = FALSE)

  The processing of statistical loads (e.g. 2 Sigma) for element loads has been changed slightly to
  correct errors that could occur when using small meshes.  If this backdoor flag is set to TRUE, the
  original standard deviation method will be used.
 
FEA Statistical Limit Component Load to Element Max_Min       (Default = TRUE)
 
  If the statistical (e.g. 2 Sigma) load for a component is above the maximum load for any element in
  that component, this flag will automatically cut the load off at this maximum value.  Settin this
  backdoor flag to FALSE deactivates this cutoff.
 
(Version 6.1.85 only)
Local Post Buckling Deactivation Local Buckling Margin        (Default = 3)

  If using postbuckling analysis, if the local buckling margin is above this threshold, then postbuckling
  will automatically be deactivated.  For example, if you are using the default value of 3, and the local
  buckling margin of safety for a load case is above 3.0, then postbuckling will be deactivated for that
  load case.  Postbuckling will not be deactivated for other load cases.


Material Changes
- Updated Ftu2 and Fcu2 for our included standard AS4 tape material - (Now MIL-HDBK-17 values)

Just to reiterate, if you choose not to update your database, then Puck will not be available and HyperSizer will use the default values for all new database flags.
