Deleting/Updating an existing laminate
« on: March 22, 2011, 12:00:52 PM »
Is there any work around to delete/update an existing laminate ? The spreadsheets uploads the laminate. But if I want to run the program again, it will fail because of existing laminate. I am adding 100s of laminates so if I have to delete them everytime I update/change the stacking sequence, it will be difficult.

Thanks

I recommend using the Material Cleanup form to help you delete many laminates at once. Tools | Material Cleanup The Material Cleanup form can also be used in conjunction with material filters.

For example if you just created a batch of laminates that you would like to delete, you can filter all the laminate materials by the creation date to delete them all at once.

1. Right-click in Database Browser. Select Material Filters | Filter Laminate Definitions.
2. Filter by "Creation Date" in the Temperature Independent Properties drop-down menu.
3. Go to Material Cleanup form Tools | Material Cleanup.
4. Go to the Laminate Materials tab.
5. Click Select All.
6. Click Delete.

This will work as long as the laminates are not being used in a project.
