Typo in Orthotropic Material Correction Factor Form

(1/1)

Phil:
From a HyperSizer User (Version 5.8.11):

In the correction factor equation for quadratic ply and temp, there are two terms "G" and "H". Both of them corresponds to linear term of (T-T0). Is it correct ? I think the term corresponding to H should be (T-T0)^2.
Please confirm.

Answer:

You are correct, that is a typo on the form... the correct equation should be:

=A+B(%0)+C(%45)+D(%0)^2+E(%45)^2+F(%0)(%45)+G(T-T0)+H(T-T0)^2

This will be corrected in the next software update. The software does calculate the correction factor correctly. The mistake is only in the equation text shown on the form.
