50th AIAA SDM Conference May 4-7, 2009 Palm Springs, CA

Collier Research has long contributed to the advancement of structures technology through annual contributions to the AIAA SDM conference. This year, Collier Research will be involved in:

Paper Presentation - "Local Post Buckling: An Efficient Analysis Approach for Industry Use" will be presented on Tuesday May 5, 1:00 during the Structural Stability II Session 64, in room Smoketree-DE.

Session Chair - Finite Element Analysis in Novel Aerostructure Design on Thursday May 7, 1:00 during the Structural Design II Session 12, in room Smoketree-DE.

Technical Committee - AIAA Structures TC meetings to be held throughout the SDM conference.

This is the 50th anniversary of the AIAA SDM conference. Based on the current state of the art, presentations will look forward for the next 50 years of structures, structural dynamics and materials, and their potential applications in future generations of air and space vehicles.

49th AIAA/ASME/ASCE/AHS/ASC Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference (2008) April 7-10, 2008, Schaumburg, IL

The 49th Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference (SDM): Multifunctional Structures and Materials—Challenges and Opportunities, is sponsored by AIAA, ASME, ASCE, AHS, and ASC. This established conference is a widely acknowledged annual event that provides a unique forum dedicated to the latest development in the collective disciplines of structures, structural dynamics, materials, design engineering, and survivability. SDM will also host the 16th Adaptive Structures Conference, the 10th Non-Deterministic Approaches Conference, the 9th Gossamer Spacecraft Forum, and the 4th Multidisciplinary Design Optimization Specialist Conference. Plenary presentations given by recognized, forward-thinking invited speakers will be a special feature of the conference. This year, these presentations will be organized around the subject of multifunctional structures and materials and their potential applications in future generations of air and space vehicles.
